R&D Unit and Laboratory
Within the body of the R&D unit, project-based studies are carried out in every field covering the company's fields of activity. In addition, outsourced national and international projects prepared by utilizing domestic and international R&D funds are also carried out.
We participate in scientific organizations related to the sector with the papers and publications prepared by the R&D unit. In addition, patent, utility model and industrial design registration processes, which are the results of R&D studies, are carried out. We have made 13 patent applications up to date.
In addition, strategic collaborations are carried out with universities and research institutes, and within this scope, master’s and doctoral studies are supported in R&D laboratories.So far, 17 master's and 10 doctoral studies have been supported.
İSTON R&D laboratories work in partnership with the Quality Control Laboratory, which offers testing at every stage of production from raw material to product, and also incorporates departments established only for R&D activities.
Internal R&D Projects
Internal R&D projects are new product design studies, improvement studies covering all production areas, cost studies, new raw material and auxiliary material trials, etc. There are 143 internal projects carried out by the R&D with the internal resources of the company. These projects are related to the main fields of activity of our company, such as special concretes, concrete-reinforced concrete pipes, ready-mixed concrete, parquet stones-curbs, reactive powder concrete, prefabricated products and city furniture, or current issues that develop in the sector.
National and International R&D Projects
These are the projects which are prepared by making use of national/international project funds, covering the production areas of our company and the issues to which it can be a potential project partner and carried out with domestic and foreign partners. We have started to make applications for national and international R&D support funds since 2004, and we have made a total of 26 project applications. 8 projects were completed. We have received TL 1,802,000 grant from these support funds. Our completed and ongoing projects are:
